EarRelevant Review: Johns Creek Symphony Caps Landmark Season with Mendelssohn and the Coucherons

We’re grateful to Howard Wershil for a thoughtful and engaging review of our season finale, Passing the Baton, featuring violinist David Coucheron and pianist Julie Coucheron. He described the program as “a bright, optimistic program of music featuring, exclusively, the accomplishments of composer Felix Mendelssohn,” and called it “a wonderful concert, filled with light and color.”

He also praised the collaboration on stage, noting the orchestra’s “magnificent support” of the soloists throughout the Mendelssohn Double Concerto. Reflecting on the ensemble’s artistic growth over the season, Wershil wrote that “the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra has surely come into its own,” underscoring the continued momentum and development of the orchestra under Music Director Henry Cheng.
