World Premiere by JCSO Young-Composer-in-Residence Mahlon Berv ft. Full Radius Dance
Featuring:
Mahlon Berv serves as the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra’s Young Composer-in-Residence for the 2026–2027 season. An award-winning composer for film, television, ballet, and the concert stage, his work has been featured by Vogue and recognized with Best Score by the Los Angeles Film Awards. His music has been performed internationally by artists and ensembles including BBC Young Musician winner Martin James Bartlett, the Contemporaneous Ensemble, and the UN Chamber Music Society at Carnegie Hall.
As a composer, orchestrator, and scoring assistant, Berv has contributed to productions including RuPaul’s Drag Race, Million Dollar Listing, The Great Christmas Light Fight, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and the Prime Video documentary Naziha’s Spring. His original works include the American Prize finalist Agni and numerous scores for film, ballet, and contemporary performance.
Berv holds a Master of Composition for Screen from the Royal College of Music and a Bachelor of Science in Composition and Philosophy from the Jacobs School of Music. Based in Los Angeles, he continues to create music that bridges the worlds of screen, stage, and symphonic performance.
Founded in 1990 by Artistic and Executive Director Douglas Scott, Full Radius Dance is a nationally recognized Atlanta-based modern dance company dedicated to redefining the boundaries of dance through performance, education, and advocacy. Originally established as Dance Force, the organization evolved through Douglas's work developing an inclusive dance technique for dancers with and without disabilities, grounded in artistic excellence rather than therapy.
Since becoming Full Radius Dance in 1998, the company has earned acclaim for its innovative, physically integrated performances presented throughout Atlanta and across the United States and internationally. Through its performances, educational programs, and the annual Modern Atlanta Dance (MAD) Festival, Full Radius Dance champions body positivity and the belief that every body has the capacity to experience and create meaningful movement.
