JCSO Thanks Fulton County’s Support of Virtual Series 1024 560 Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra

Many will agree, 2020 has been a challenging year, but it has been particularly difficult for fine arts as gatherings have been restricted since March of this year. JCSO was forced to find new ways to perform while keeping the health and safety of musicians and patrons a top priority. Thanks to the financial support of Fulton County, who provided us with an $18,000 contract, JCSO has been able to continue performing during this time.

Fulton County’s support allowed us to present an educational virtual series to Fulton County schools in the midst of COVID-19 restrictions, a program beloved by students and teachers alike. The virtual series is 4 different concerts, one intended for young children and 3 for older kids or adults. The series features smaller ensembles and teaches about individual instruments, composers, musical concepts, and more! We broadcast the virtual series in Fulton County schools in 2020 and will rebroadcast to all of our patrons in January. We are extremely grateful and honored to receive this honor among all the many deserving arts organizations in Fulton County.
