The current Executive Director of the JCSO, Sue Haggerty, brings nearly 30 years of arts- based experience coupled with an equally long career in advertising and marketing to the position. Originally based in New York City and New Jersey, Sue was an ad executive while also performing for the Masterworks Chorus & Orchestra, under the direction of David Randolph. Regular season performances included Handel’s Messiah at both Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. Asked to join the BOD, Sue ran their advertising campaigns, redesigned the logo, updated all materials and raised the visual profile of the organization. Sue also served on the BOD for the New Jersey Pops Orchestra where she participated in active fundraising, corporate development and chaired their 25th Anniversary Gala. All of this experience was brought to the Atlanta area when she and her family moved to what is now Johns Creek, in 1999. Continuing her involvement in the arts, Sue became a member of the Steering Committee for the newly formed Archdiocesan Festival Choir of Atlanta. Through her active collaboration with Maestro J. Wayne Baughman, the inaugural concert of the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra was performed and led to the birth of the non-profit entity. Serving as Executive Director, Sue calls upon her marketing background to advocate for the JCSO and raise its profile within the greater north fulton county area. A full-time Office Manager for The 1818 Club in Duluth and proud alumni of the Inaugural Class of Leadership Johns Creek, Sue resides in Johns Creek with her husband Paul.
