Kevin E. Brown

Kevin Brown joined the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra with over 35 years of experience in the Atlanta arts community, with 25 of those years as Atlanta Symphony Orchestra House Manager. Believing this role as central to an orchestra’s commitment to customer loyalty, he was primarily responsible for managing the customer experience at all symphony performance events. In charge of more than 1,600 volunteer ushers and paid staff supervisors at two venues, he implemented customer-centric training programs to encourage positive usher interaction with patrons. Mr. Brown successfully led the usher corps to a customer service survey score of 98-percent patron satisfaction for “attitude and services of the ushers.”

Mr. Brown played a major role in planning for VIP/celebrity events, including guest artist meet-and-greet parties, charity fundraisers and the Atlanta Symphony Ball. Previously, he worked for the Woodruff Arts Center in the areas house management, subscription sales and production management.

As house manager for the JCSO, Kevin implements the same techniques and philosophy’s that he has employed throughout his long career with the ASO. His main objective is to ensure that all patrons have the highest quality concert experience. Kevin Brown is also serving as Director of Advertising Sales for the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra. In this role, he meets with local businesses to promote advertising sales in Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra program booklets and provides oversight and support for single-event promotional campaigns within this metro-Atlanta community

A proponent of community-building, Mr. Brown is a member of the Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce and currently serves as a board member of the Johns Creek community’s Glenhurst neighborhood where he leads event planning ventures through collaboration.

Mr. Brown received a Bachelor of Science degree from Mercer University, Atlanta, GA. He enjoys collecting antique arcade games, slot machines, phonographs and radios—including a 1958 juke box. A resident of Johns Creek for 14 years, he enjoys spending time with his wife Jann and two boys Nicholas and Luke.
